System and Server Requirements

WordPress Installed
PHP version 5.2.4 or greater (recommended: PHP 7 or greater)
MySQL version 5.0 or greater (recommended: MySQL version 5.6 or greater OR MariaDB version 10.0 or greater)
Apache Module mod_rewrite enabled for “pretty permalinks”
HTTPS support

Basically the requirements of bbPress are the exact same as WordPress, so if you are running the latest version of WordPress you can run bbPress.
